Greg Allen creates one of a kind functional glass pieces. Each piece starts with intricate cutting of large sheets of colored glass. It is then fired in a kiln for 10 - 12 hours at temperatures up to 1,450 degrees Fahrenheit. The glass is cooled and then re-fired in a mold. The molten glass “slumps” into the mold to create the desired form. Greg’s creative exploration of fusing and slumping glass has resulted in refining personal techniques and creating designs that make each piece one-of-a-kind.
